Capital markets platform Clear Street officially withdraws $351 million IPO
Clear Street Group, a cloud-native provider of brokerage, clearing, and other capital markets services, withdrew its plans for an initial public offering on Thursday.
It had filed to raise $351 million by offering 13 million shares at a price range of $26 to $28, after slashing its deal size by 65% a week ago. At the midpoint of the proposed range, it would have been valued at $8.2 billion. The company postponed its IPO last Friday, citing market conditions, and added that it intended to reconsider an IPO at a later time.

The New York, NY-based company now plans to raise $351 million by offering 13.0 million shares at a price range of $26 to $28. It had previously filed to raise $1.0 billion by offering 23.8 million shares at a range of $40 to $44. At the midpoint of the revised range, Clear Street Group will raise 65% less in proceeds than previously anticipated.
Cornerstone investor BlackRock has still indicated an interest in purchasing $200 million worth of shares on the IPO, now 57% of the deal.

Clear Street Group, a cloud-native provider of brokerage, clearing, and other capital markets services, announced terms for its IPO on Wednesday.
The New York, NY-based company plans to raise $1.0 billion by offering 23.8 million shares at a price range of $40 to $44. At the midpoint of the proposed range, Clear Street Group would command a fully diluted market value of $13.3 billion.
Cornerstone investor BlackRock indicated an interest in purchasing $200 million worth of shares on the IPO, or 20% of the deal.
